This comes after the July 1 debut of the season's second volume, two four-hour episodes. Since Season 4's premiere on May 27, 1.15 billion hours have been watched.
"Squid Game" was the first Netflix series to reach 1 billion views in September 2021. "Squid Game" is Netflix's most popular TV title, with 1.65 billion hours viewed during its first 28 days of availability.
Season 4 of "Stranger Things" is Netflix's most popular English-language series ever. It could beat "Squid Game," technically.
Due to the segmented release, Volume 2 will contribute to the popularity tally in the 28 days after July 1, but Volume 1 has already been counted.
Volume 2 was only available for three days during Season 4's June 27-July 3 viewing window. This is the season's second most successful week after the May 30-June 5 viewing window, Volume 1's first full week.
The season is back at No. 1 on Netflix's Top 10 chart, where it's been almost every week since Volume 1's debut. Only last week, June 20-26, did "The Umbrella Academy" Season 3 premiere on June 22.
"Umbrella Academy" is No. 2 this week. Between June 27 and July 3, 88 million hours of Season 3 were watched.
"Umbrella Academy" and "Stranger Things" top the chart. All previous seasons of both shows are in the Top 10 as fans rewatch.
