NBA Dillon Brooks Suspended After Flagrant 2 Foul

A hard foul led to an ejection for the second straight game in the Grizzlies-Warriors series. Instead of Draymond Green, it was Dillon Brooks of the Grizzlies.

Green was pushing the ball up the court in transition when he made a stride pass to Gary Payton II, who attempted a layup.

Brooks also swiped Payton's head while he was in the air. Payton awkwardly fell to the ground, holding his left elbow

Payton would not return due to an elbow injury, the Warriors said.

According to The Athletic's Anthony Slater, Warriors coach Steve Kerr yelled at the Grizzlies bench after the foul and ejection, “Get the f— out of here!”

Brooks was ejected two days after Green was ejected from Game 1 against the Grizzlies for a flagrant 2.

Payton II is having the best season of his six-year career with Golden State, averaging 7.1 points per game in 71 games. In Game 1, he started and scored eight points on four-of-five shooting.
