Kinder Eggs are no longer banned in the US, and candy lovers are ecstatic.

The United States has finally lifted its ban on Kinder Surprise, a chocolate treat that includes a toy known as Kinder Eggs.

Because of the risk of choking, Kinder Eggs have been outlawed in the United States since 1938 by the Food and Drug Administration.

There is a plastic capsule hidden inside each chocolate egg that makes up a "Kinder Egg." After eating the chocolate, you'll find a toy inside the plastic container.

In2012, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol urged travellers not to bring Kinder Eggs into the country.

Cute and seasonal chocolate treats are too dangerous for U.S. import, the statement said.

For safety, only Kinder Joys are banned. Kinder Joys are sold as two sealed items, one chocolate and one toy, to prevent choking.

The only thing I want people to know is that I'm fortunate. Kinder eggs are now legal in the United States after a lengthy legal battle.
