The Seahawks haven't made any official statements about their future ownership in recent months as rumours have swirled.
Seahawks team chair Jody Allen issued a statement Tuesday stating that the team and the Portland Trail Blazers were not for sale.
Both the Portland Trail Blazers and the Los Angeles Lakers have previously stated that they are not for sale,
Allen's statement included both teams in asserting "as we've stated before, neither of the teams is for sale and there are no sales discussions taking place."
Her statement confirmed that most of her brother Paul G. Allen's assets will have to be sold at some point in the future.
Allen's trust was left to Jody after Paul's death, and she has assumed the role of Seahawks and Blazer chairwoman.
"Estates of this size and complexity can take 10 to 20 years to wind down," her statement read, alluding to the teams not being for sale for the time being given Paul's plans to dedicate the vast majority of his wealth to philanthropy.
