As part of the Biden administration's effort to increase testing for the coronavirus, Americans can now order a third set of at-home COVID-19 tests online for free.
An increase from the previous two rounds, where the maximum number of free tests was just four, is available this time around.
All you have to do on COVIDtests.gov to place an order for eight additional free COVID-19 at-home tests is enter your home address.
With the help of the US Postal Service, the programme has been established (USPS). As of December, the omicron COVID variant had spread widely, and this outbreak was sparked by it.
COVIDtests.gov will send a third shipment to households that have already received eight at-home tests.
The news was released by the White House on Tuesday.
According to a statement, free and accessible testing will help slow the spread of the virus as the highly transmissible subvariants of Omicron drive a rise in cases in some parts of the country.
