The Minnesota Wild were defeated by the St. Louis Blues in Game 5 on the road on Tuesday night.

After taking over for Ville Husso to start Game 4, Binnington stopped 30 of Minnesota's 32 shots and earned his second straight victory.

This is the team's 18th postseason triumph overall, which is a franchise record.

Greg Millen had held the previous record, which has now been broken. He worked from 1978 to 1992 as a professional.

the coach of the Blues said, "He got out so many pucks tonight and made real good plays with them. His demeanour is described as "calm and collected."
