North Texas man kills 2 policeman, wounds 3 & woman, authorities say.

A gunman killed two individuals and wounded three police officers & another resident in Fort Worth, Texas, on Saturday, officials said. 

Haltom City Police Sgt. Rick Alexander stated a man and a woman were slain and a "elderly female" who called in the event received non-life-threatening injuries. 

Collin Davis, 33, & Amber Tsai, 32, were slain. Possible relationships between them or with the shooter are being investigated. Police have no motivation. Zach Tabler,

Tim Barton, &  Jose Avila were hurt. Alexander: "They were instantly shot at." Haltom City Police Chief Cody Phillips said Tabler had surgery & was healing. 

Sunday, Barton was released from the hospital after a leg injury. City Manager Rex Phelps described the attack on the three as an ambush, according to Phillips.

"Our policemen were daring & valiant as the suspect ambushed them," he said. Alexander said the suspect self-fired.

"He had a military-style rifle & handgun nearby," he claimed.
