San Antonio trailer with 46 migrants dead
San Antonio officials said 46 people were found dead in and around a tractor-trailer in a suspected migrant smuggling attempt.

In 2017, 10 migrants died after being locked in a San Antonio Walmart truck. 19 migrants were found in a hot truck near San Antonio in 2003.

A city worker in southwest San Antonio heard a plea for help just before 6 p.m. Monday, Police Chief William McManus said.
Officers found a corpse and a partially opened trailer gate, he added. Body bags lay near the trailer hours later as a sombre reminder of the disaster.
Bodies remained. Fire Chief Charles Hood said 12 adults & 4 children were hospitalised with heat-related illnesses.
